About Waqar Hasan

Waqar Hasan is the Founder and CEO of Itihad Community Management (ICM), established in Dubai in 2010. Under his leadership, ICM has grown into one of the UAE’s most trusted community management firms, overseeing premium properties across Dubai and expanding both locally and internationally. Beyond ICM, Waqar leads Humberts UAE, the first international franchise of the historic UK-based Humberts Group Limited, a brand with more than 175 years of heritage in real estate. Under his leadership, Humberts is bringing this legacy of trust and excellence to the region, offering brokerage and advisory services that complement his wider real estate expertise. He serves as Vice Chair of the Dubai Real Estate Brokerage and Property Management Business Group under the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, where he plays a leading role in shaping policy and professional standards for the industry. Waqar is among the very few professionals in the Middle East who hold premier international credentials from both the Community Associations Institute (CAI) and the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), with designations as a Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM®) and a Certified Property Manager (CPM®). Since 2011, Waqar has been an active member of CAI, contributing as a speaker, author, and workshop organizer for its Middle East Chapter, and in 2022 he served as President of CAI Middle East. He was also the driving force behind the vision to establish the IREM Middle East Chapter, and today serves both as IREM faculty and as a member of its International Advisory Council, shaping the institute’s global strategy for professional real estate management. He regularly shares thought leadership on governance, sustainability, and customer service through articles and speaking engagements at leading regional and international forums.
